Edgewater

Edgewater is a custom home constructed on a waterfront property in Lake Cowichan, BC. This West Coast modern style home is 2,433 sq. ft. over two levels.

Taking advantage of lakeside living and the natural landscape were important items on our clients’ wish list. The main floor features open concept living with vaulted ceilings and a full wall of windows facing the lake. A 20′ glass door leads from the kitchen to a large sundeck.

Edgewater has polished concrete floors with in-floor plumbed heat which add to the modern feel of this custom home.

A large island in the kitchen has plenty of room for breakfast seating. There is also a large pantry and mudroom combo.

A major feature of Edgewater is the abundance of windows, even on the lower floor. The primary bedroom is designed so that the owners can relax with their bed facing the shores of Cowichan Lake. All three bedrooms have glass doors to easily access outside. There is also a laundry room and two bathrooms on this floor.

This lakehouse was carved into a steep slope and required significant engineering support. Made to Last was excited to be a part of bringing our clients’ dreams to reality.
