Made to Last Custom Homes is excited to announce that one of our projects is a finalist for the 2023 Canadian Home Builders’ Association’s (CHBA) National Awards for Housing Excellence. The CHBA National Awards are the premiere competition for new homes and renovations in Canada.
Quamichan Net Zero is a finalist for Best Custom Net Zero Home. This project has already been recognized as a multiple award winner in regional competitions.
Quamichan Net Zero is the first officially labelled Net Zero Home in the Cowichan Valley. Made to Last Custom Homes is certified as a Net Zero Trained Builder through the CHBA. The Net Zero label means that a home produces as much energy as it consumes. It also means it meets hundreds of other standards required for a high efficiency home. We built Quamichan Net Zero to the highest tier (Step 5) on the BC Step Code.
In 2021, Made to Last won our first CHBA Finalist award for our project Modern Revival. This was recognized in the Whole Home Renovation category. In this home, our client fell in love with the original 80s style of the house. We transformed this dated house into our client’s dream modern home, while preserving the original style.
The CHBA National Awards recognize a range of different projects, including custom homes, renovations, large-scale developments, and net zero homes projects. Made to Last is the only Cowichan Valley custom home builder to win provincial or national awards in the past ten years.
To the owners of Quamichan Net Zero, congratulations on your award winning home! Thank you for your support and for trusting us as the Cowichan Valley’s Premier Custom Home Builder.
And thank you to all our build partners for helping create such a stunning home.
